Explore a retired Coast Guard ship at the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes, in Kingston, Ontario. The Museum looks back at over 340 years of maritime history, from colonial battleships to modern freighters. The museum displays a wide range of exhibits dealing with shipping, ship building, shipwrecks on the Lakes, and marine archeology. You can even discover what life was like as a sailor. Designed as a light ice breaker and buoy tender, the ship spent most of its career supplying lighthouses and placing buoys in the shipping channels. The museum acquired the ship in 1985. The ship is on display and visitors can wander through its many cabins. For more information: Mar...
